  2. As Susie said I had to slow down on reading this one. There is so much here!! I think my two favorite things are the prophecy of Christ already from the beginning 3:15. And that our God that just speaks and this mind blowing world and the heavens exists just like that. He knows all things and is control, from the beginning He knew the end. I feel much peace in that.

  3. Day one - Feb 1, 2011, 4:57 a.m. - How interesting to read these chapters again and to look up some of the many references! As I read from "In the beginning..." it was at times challenging not to rush as these verses are so familiar - so I purposed to read slower and concentrate. Such a reminder of how effortlessly God created the world, day by day. Such a reminder the responsibility God gave to man to name the animals and take care of His creation. Such a reminder of "The Fall" - and how great a fall that was! And then - a hope-filled reference - Romans 5:19, "For through one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One many will be made righteous." Hallelujah for our great, great God!

  5. Well, Day one at the John Hughes abode was interesting. We used this as our morning study and found out that we rarely agree on anything, save that God created everything. What is great is that the footnote letters in the written part at Bible Gateway, gives other verses in the bible which refer to whatever scripture you are reading. It is a great tool! It is humbling to know from where we came and from what we are saved from. John MacArthur commentary noted that when God separated the waters and made the earth to be enveloped in a water canopy, He created the means for its destruction. Hmmmm. Never thought of that. Can hardly wait till tomorrow. I for one am going to dig into the references. Amen to what Susie and Heather said!
