Day 59, April 1 Numbers 14-15 Psalms 90
Deuteronomy 8:2 "....that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD."
Wonderful! I see my self all over the place ... and What a powerful God!!! Oh that we will just obey .. How long how long ... Our secret sins in the light of Your presence GOD IS HOLY!!!
Oh, my! Simple lessons I learned from these readings:
Numbers 14: DON'T MAKE GOD ANGRY! The complainers pushed God too far. He put a stop to them entering the promised land. I wonder how much rich life we never got to experience, because of our complaining and not seeing every good thing in our lives! (Personally, I know of years of wasted time, in not seeing God's goodness and provision. God forgive me.)
Numbers 15: Offerings, following God, results of not following God. Here I heard God's patience-patience-patience. Repeating "I am the Lord your God" to people have heard this before.
Psalm 90: Moses - precious, close-to-God Moses, who acknowleges God as Everything! Moses recognizes the anger God has for disobedient people. Moses pleads for God's judgement to pass over. Moses praises the one true living God! How lovely this Psalm is!
