  1. OK well if you going to be all wrapped up in the numbers it should be in the book of Numbers right...8,580 to move the Tabernacle!!!
If you go to ttb.org J. Vernon has a great chart of the set up of the camp and march. I can't get over how many people this is. This is not just a few folks walking around chatting and eating some bread off the ground!! God is not just providing for a few hundred people here... can you image... ponderous...

  3. Heather, you are right; this is truly miraculous that God provides for over two million people, places them in such an orderly and specific way and is actually directly present with them. With all of this, they are still rebellious, stubborn and unappreciative. Will we ever change?!!!
This bible reading is having quite an effect on me. I am seeing how holy God is and since scripture tells us that we are to be holy as He is holy, I am becoming aware of how disrespectful I am of Him by being so lax in my efforts to live by His expectations.
Forgiven, yes, but for that very reason, should we not desire to be holy? The Lord is merciful and patient. May I yield to the Holy Spirit and lean not on my own understanding. God forgive me.

  5. Wonderful comments, Marsha and Heather! Yes, I do see again the orderliness of God, and the Holiness!

I keep hearing "And Moses did just as the Lord commanded" and I am inspired and convicted -

Oh, this study is the best! God help us all in our small efforts to push forward.
