Familiar and interesting chapters today. The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night: How God thinks of everything! He didn't lead them the shortest route - He led them through the wilderness and through the Red Sea because He had a plan. I never saw this before!
And look at that Moses! No more the whiner, "I can't do it, Lord" guy! Now he listens and follows God's instructions. He KNOWS God experientially now.
This "Eating Bread Together" is great! The Bread of Life! Such a blessing!
Ok here is what I see and it is so wonderful!!! Ex 14:13 "..Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord..." Ex 14:19 "And the Angel of God.." (Jesus) (NKJ seems to say it bet) Ex 14:20 "So it (Jesus in the cloud) came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other ..." Israel, in the darkness of night (darkness of the world) followed the LIGHT (Christ)and was brought through the sea (impossible) to be freed from bondage (sin) SALVATION!!!!! God is HOLY and no word or group of words could ever say how AWESOME He is! Note: how cool is it that God in the cloud is a light and a consuming fire! Lamb and Lion, Alfa and Omega...... ponderous
