Good morning, all. Today I listened to these chapters while working in my room. Chapter 19 is the preparation (setting the stage) for the Ten Commandments. In our world today, preparations take place for "rulers" to speak to masses. Here, on Mt. Sinai, God speaks. I have minimized this before - but it is AMAZING to imagine, isn't it! God spoke to these imperfect people.
Next, the Ten Commandments: the first four are about our relationship to our holy and perfect God. The next six are about our relationship to people around us. If we were to get the first Commandment right - wouldn't the others be so different (better, more in line)?
Oh, what a merciful God. Oh, what a patient God. Oh, what a loving God.
God is HOLY! so Loving. "I bore you on eagles wings and brought you to Myself."
"those who love Me and keep My commandments.." 10 commandments how short I fall... because of the commandments I can see just how forgiving He is. Thank you Lord!!
