Day 37 - Exodus Chapters 22-24

Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  1. God thinks of everything - even details and the "what if's" of life. And He shows His sympathetic nature here (third time that has come to my attention just this morning, and it's only 6:30 a.m.)!

Exodus 23:15 where God says we are not to come to Him empty-handed. Does that also mean when we enter our worship services we are not to enter with empty hearts but hearts full of praise, worship, gratitude for Him? Yes!

Also in chapter 23, I see the concept of "bad company corrupts good morals" where God says several times that His followers are to be separate from those who follow false gods.

So that we can truly have hearts full of worship that "get it" and see the immensity of the one, true, perfect, right God.

For our protection - for the lives God wants us to have - wholly fine - wholly rich - in Him alone.

Thank you, God, for thinking of everything and giving us Your Holy Words.

  2. Ok Things that stand out... Better be good to widows and orphans. Seems to me that The anger on this on really stands out! Lot's of focus on remembering! Have to study 24:9-11 some more
    LOVE IT!

  3. Susie YES "separate" I see that big time! watch out who you are hanging out with. I can remember (as a false convert) justifying hanging out with those who lived like the devil.... Man oh man...
