  2. These last 3 days in Leviticus have been exciting. I see God's attention to detail, His Plan, His Provision all through!

Yes, I love 19:9-10 also, as it shows God's compassionate care.

This has been good - God has been Great.

  3. Okay, What has been brought "home" to me in reading the Creator's detailed specifications for living by His standards, is that no one can live by His standards. He is holy, holy, holy which jumps out at us as we read what he expects of His created mankind. To me, He is showing us that number one, He is holy beyond our finite ability to understand and like, Heather and Susie, I find myself in a prone position (figuratively) while reading Leviticus and pretty much all of the Bible. Number two, He is showing us that we have no hope to live up to the standards of Holy God. Which brings us to the GOOD NEWS of number three that has been showing up here and there in these early writings; that is that Father God has a plan to have a "scape goat", a sacrificial lamb, to redeem His fallen children. Blood---That is what it takes for atonement as Leviticus 17:11 tells us and this pierces my heart. "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.' To make atonement for man's sins, there must be blood shed by way of a perfect sacrifice, one without blemish, one perfect. Who is worthy of this?

And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
"You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth."

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands,
saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing."

And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever."

And the four living creatures kept saying, "Amen." And the elders fell down and worshiped."

    WOW! WOW INDEED!

  4. Marsha, bless you for your wonderful comments here. I wrote about the scapegoat yesterday and that has impressed me also - we cannot escape but God has (as always) PROVIDED THE WAY of escape for us.

We must remember - and help each other remember - not to ever minimize God's Holiness, Provision, Plan, Wonder, Power.

    Hallelujah!
