  1. I don't know what to say... except you sure don't want to be in the way of God's wrath!

  2. That's true, Heather! But we do want to be in the way of God's mercy! How rich we are to know Him and His Word! Let's pass this on - as we rise up, as we go about our days. Let's commit to tell others what we are learning every day about God and His being "rich in mercy."

And yet! Let's not "throw the baby out with the bathwater" and be like the world, forgiving everything because we (also) want forgiveness. God is just but does judge sin. He doesn't endorse it and say, "Oh well, everyone's doing that - it's okay." His standard is higher, His road is narrower, His way is Freedom.

What a perfect example we have to follow! How we love our God!

  3. Here we have the birth of the Jewish Nation, God's chosen people. Isaac is born and Ishmael is sent away to father the Arab peoples. Tomorrow's read is so exciting because we see a foreshadowing of God's redemptive plan through the sacrifice He will provide....

  4. Marsha, I love how you bring a historical thread into your comments, relating what we are reading in the OT into what is happening now in our time. I love your "vantage point" as you walk around this diamond called "God's Word."
