Day 6 Job Chapters 10-13

Thank God we have His Word His wonderful Word.
It is truly alive and beautiful.
Sing them over again to me,
wonderful words of life;
let me more of their beauty see,
wonderful words of life;
words of life and beauty
teach me faith and duty.......

  1. Heather, it's chapters 10-13, right? (see above)

    Good morning, friends;
    More suffering of Job - more "wisdom" from his friends.

    I cannot imagine how I would respond in Job's situation - job gone, family gone, health gone -

    After reading these verses each day, I read Matthew Henry's concise commentary (so helpful) and then John MacArthur's notes (in my Bible) which are also so helpful.

    My favorite verse in these chapters is Job 13:15, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him."

    Hang on, Job! God is not absent and He in helping you endure. And He will show you where He wants you to be - resting in Him.

    I have so much to learn from God! Thank you, Lord, that you have not ceased striving with us!

  2. oops !!! (i'll fix that)
    I really like your favorite too Susie. Mine was 5 "O that you would be completely silent,
    And that it would become your wisdom!"
    I will have to remember that one!! Hard to stop today Job is one of those you want to read all the way through to get to the really good part. But I sure see much value in going through this way and really thinking about what we are reading.
