Blessed be the Lord who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation.

Job 32-34 - The friends finally become silent, and here comes Elihu, a young man, who has not spoken before because of his youth. In their (the friends') silence, Elihu speaks.
ReplyDeleteOne passage I caught here is in chapter 33:28-30, where I think Elihu is talking about why God allows suffering:
28 He has redeemed my soul from going to the pit And my life shall see the light. 29 Behold, God does all these oftentimes with men, 30 To bring back his soul from the pit, That he may be enlightened with the light of life.
We talk often about recognizing our sinfulness and repenting, and turning back toward following God with our whole heart, and this passage speaks to me.
Is this talking about God's "refining fire?" Job's suffering as a refining process? What do you think, friends?
Another message here is God's mercy (that He would care to rescue us). Mercy -what a powerful and precious gem of a message. How I not only need to realize what a underserved gift from God this is, but also to learn how to extend that to others!
God is all, isn't He?
Susie same vs popped out to me. Hard again to stop where we did. But as always much to chew on in what we read today. Refining fire.... Well I think we are ALL refined until the Lord comes back.... so yes I think Job is being refined but we also know more... God Himself referred to Job as righteous (prob. as men go.. because non are with our sin) But maybe it gos back to that vs that garbed us last time about my redeemer living maybe he is "righteous" because he believes in Christ. Job a sinner.. he has to be Job saved from that sin.. I think he is. Dose it bug you when I think out load like this .. I'm not forming my thoughts or trying to put something together .. just thinking. Well I can't wait to read more tomorrow! The more days with Job. One more thing if I remember right in studying Job long ago he dose confess sin in the end.. (I might just remember wrong)
