Day 11 Job Chapters 29-31

May the Lord bless your reading.

  1. Hard reading today. Job is struggling so, and in response to charges of hypocrisy he lists how well he has done and how he has served the community and God. He recalls "the good old times" when life was not excruciating, and defends his integrity.

What can I learn from this? To walk uprightly before a holy God who watches and allows, to strive to do His will, to confess to Him when I've wronged, and to "walk humbly with my God."

Oh, so very much to learn! Thank you, God, for continuing to teach me to follow Your ways and not man's ways. Thank you for the ability to discern between what man says and what You say. That You would give me one iota of time is amazing, much less all the grace and mercy - It is an honor to know You!
