Day 14 Job Chapters 38-39

Happy Valentine's Day, friends! May we remember the most loving gift of all -
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son
that whosover believes in Him
should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16

  1. Just two chapters today to read, but so powerful! God answers Job, "Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind...Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?" verses 1 and 4

    This is timely -

All wisdom still comes from God - may we strive hard this year to ask God before forming opinions and then speaking them. Only God can know the end from the beginning. Here in these verses, God reminds Job (and me) that He alone knew the beginning - and surely knows the end!

Thank you, Heather and Marsha, for starting this project of reading the Bible together in a year. It's precious!

  2. Blessed am I by His Word! I would never think that I would learn so much from the book of Job. I think the chapter after chapter of bla bla bla is a perfect reminder that we just think we know so much and we run our mouths with all our "wisdom" truly we should just stay on our face and never open our mouth at all. God speaks and only God knows all at all times no matter what. I pray that I will be still and know that He is God and let Him speak... Oh that I may be silent. In His power (oh His power!) alone could this tongue be still from its habit of foolishness. Susie your support has helped me stick to it and now I'm stuck I can't think of a day with out hearing God speak. God forgive me for not being in His word more the consequence for not is great, the blessing for abiding in It is huge!!!!
